Just to prove this website is reaching those parts others don't reach, we in Cowes have a new playmate. Berry arrived in Cowes today towing his Quarter Tonner, 'The Itch' all the way from Holland. He has been racing against an Etchells amongst other things and decided he needed some proper like for like competition, so is committing to spending 2009 in Cowes. I went down to welcome him to our not so sunny island this afternoon and showed him round the important places like Tiffins, the Chandlery and David Heritages fine establishment so he knows where to buy his coffee, his tide book and where to get his boat mended.
Be quick if you want to check it out - it will only be in the Yacht Haven for two weeks prior to going into a shed on the South side of the Island (he has relatives here) for the winter. You will know it when you see it - even the trailer is painted yellow! Talking of fine establishments - I am now working at David Heritage Racing Yachts - so if anyone needs any work doing to their quarter tonners, do get in contact. He is a brilliant boatbuilder and a perfectionist so you know the job will be done well, and I am very good at answering the phone.......
Examples of his work including the refurb on Runaway Bus and Snoopy.
