Life after Cowes Week

What a great week that was. Three boats all in contention until the last day with one point between them. Fabulous to see was the way the Kiwi's arrived in the chartered Diamond and got the boat moving to win two races and almost clinch the deal. The dying breeze and the booming spring tide made it so much harder on the last day and Bullet came through with full aggression and won the week. Congratulations to them. They take home the Hamble Yacht Services Cup for the 1st QT.
Moving on to life after Cowes Week, there are a couple of really good weekends lining up nicely in September:
- 19th September - Nab Tower Race (enter through Island Sailing Club)
- 20th September - Tiny Mitchell Trophy (enter through Royal Corinthian Yacht Club)
These two form the Runaway Bus Trophy, kindly donated by Paul Kelsey:
- 26th and 27th September - Battle of Britain Regatta (enter through RAF Yacht Club)
In October Hamble River Sailing Club run an Autumn Championships - dates to follow.
It would be good to get as many boats out as possible for the last three weekends of the season.
