Additional Information: Odd Job turns as many heads today as she did when she was first built in 1973 for the Yachting journalist, the late Jack Knights. Our patron, Bob Fisher, sailed on this Stephen Jones designed boat which was one of the first to really exploit the IOR rule. The current owner Paul Treliving has a long history with the boat dating back to 1984 when he and Peter Morton purchased what can only be described as a wreck and completely restored it. Ironically enough, when the boat was first built it had non overlapping jibs with swept aft spreaders, something that everybody is going back to today. Paul & Morty won the British Quarter Ton Championships in 1984 and the Gold Roman Bowl for the overall winner in the Round the Island Race. Since then, it has been owned and sailed by Nigel Theadom and Ray Nash who laid it up a few years ago in a field in Hamble. Paul re-bought the boat and commissioned Casse Tete to do a full restoration making the boat now better than the day she was launched.
